We have been involved as a rescue for almost 10 years, originating in Southern, On. and involved with birds for close 5 decades. (I started young as my grandparents and uncles had aviaries)
Non-Profit Parrot Rescue Organization
We specialize in Parrots that require a permanent sanctuary for those not suitable for rehoming due to owners unable to keep their feathered friends for any reason. Many come to us on a non rehoming agreement and spend the remainder of their lives here, space is limited for this.
No rescue bird is ever placed in our Aviary program.

ANYONE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING IS REQUIRED TO FIRST FILL OUT AN ADOPTION FORM WHICH CAN BE FOUND ON OUR FB PAGE UNDER THE FILES ICON. ONCE APPROVED YOU WILL BE CONTACTED OR PLACED ON A WAIT LIST UNTIL A BIRD OF CHOICE BECOMES AVAILABLE. We can not give you a timeline as we have no idea what or when a suitable bird will be available.
On the Aviary side, we have downsized considerably since retiring from our regular jobs in southern, ON and relocating to northern, ON. We do not breed large parrots. On rare occasion we will have a clutch and will clearly advertise under Nuthouse Aviary to distinguish from our rescues which we do not advertise.
