I have tutored students on a college and high school level, and I find it really enjoyable and fulfilling. Recently, I was Teacher Assistant (TA) for ChE 312 (Fall 2015) at the University of Alberta for over 170 undergraduate students; this allowed me to interact with a very diverse group of students, and the feedback was excellent. I was in charge of delivering seminars for the students twice a week, involving both hands-on demonstrations and problem-solving, grading, preparing online quizzes, and answering student questions both through e-mail and during office hours. I also taught some lectures during the term.
I always try to find a simple way to explain a challenging concept, I believe there is more than one way to approach a problem and I work with the students to find the approach that works best for them, every person has a different way to learn.
Moreover, I have done some volunteering in the past years, always related to science projects; I have been project judge for the FIRST LEGO League for the past two years, it always amazes me the ideas and enthusiasm young kids can bring; While judging Grade 6 projects at the Edmonton Regional Science Fair I had the opportunity to interact with multiple interesting students while describing their projects for me. I believe our role while giving feedback is very important, so the students can feel encouraged to keep pursuing their studies in science. It was also interesting and fun to introduce myself and explain my background in a way they could understand, they are kids after all!
I have more than 3 years of engineering experience. Back when I was working on the industry, one of my duties was to train entry-level engineers, and deliver workshop and lectures related to the job at hand. We received visits from undergraduate students and explained them what we did and what each of the Product Service Lines was about.
The subjects I like are fluid mechanics, physics, chemistry, mathematics, Spanish, and science in general.

Education Background
I am a Chemical Engineer, with 3.5 years of experience on the oilfield industry, particularly on Drilling and Completion Fluids technologies. Currently pursuing a MSc degree on Chemical Engineering at the University of Alberta, on the Pipeline Transport Process Research Group. My research project is related to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of multiphase non-Newtonian Fluids.
My undergraduate research project was about the evaluation of corrosion inhibitors in biphasic media under dynamics conditions. I employed several electrochemical techniques as well as morphology evaluation.
Achievements
I was appointed “Distinctive Service Quality Leader” in 2013. This recognition was given for all personnel who showed superior Service Quality behavior while performing their duties during the last quarter of that year.
I was appointed top of the class in High School and top 10 while getting my engineering degree.
Extracurricular interests
On my spare time I enjoy working out and staying active in general, playing videogames, reading books, watching TV series, and cooking (I love Italian food!).
