I also possess a history in dance and performance arts which has given me tremendous confidence in front of crowds and the ability to thrive under pressure. For the past two years I have been fortunate enough to assistant coach the senior girls’ volleyball team at St. Francis Xavier. This leadership opportunity has allowed me to observe the advice and direction I gave my players work towards their advantage. Watching that individual better their ability because of my guidance has only enhanced my love for teaching.
My main goal in my pursuit of teaching is to make the learning process for students an enjoyable one, which is stress free and also rewarding. We all learn differently and it is my job as an educator to determine how each student learns best and teach those strategies to optimize their full academic potential. Tutoring pushes me to better myself as an educator and provides me with the chance to constantly learn and grow. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity, the experience that I will gain from being a tutor will enrich my knowledge and drive for teaching.
